Mining: Solution or Problem

The presence of mining is definitely significant to Mankayan. Aside from agriculture, mining is another source of income of the people living in Mankayan. And have you ever have the thought of  what will happen when mining stops?
Mining does have some advantage to the people in Mankayan. Many of the families income generation is from mining. Chemicals used for hard plastics and others came also from mining. We wont have cars without mining either. Most of all mining promotes greater economy.
Although mining helps a lot to our economy, many still believes mining never gave any solutions, especially the natives of the land. They believe that mining only invites the destruction of their own hometown- grounds erode, water get polluted and other tragedies happen. It also destroy the landscape of the land. Sometimes it also leads to global warming.
Being under the third world every Filipinos aim is to uplift the economy of our country through this industry. In a place like Benguet mining has been a part of its sysytem. But even though mining is a great solution it also leads to a problem.
The judgment lies beyond your own opinion whether mining is a "real solution or a heavy problem?"
